Some Stuff About Raychel

I was raised going to church and Christian school. But it wasn’t until I was 13, at a summer camp, that I made my own decision to truly follow Jesus. My 13-year-old self could have NEVER could have imagined that, as a result of seeking after God and His ways, He would lead me around the world and call me to share His love with many nations.

My teenage years were marked by opportunities to serve at my church and through short-term mission trips – both in the U.S. and in nations like Zambia, Guatemala and Uganda. After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Public Relations and a double minor in Non-Profit Leadership and Elementary Education, I felt God lead me very clearly to not apply to any jobs but instead to follow Him around the world as a missionary on the World Race. In September 2012, I launched with I Squad (2nd Generation) to 11 nations – Zimbabwe, South Africa, Swaziland, China, Philippines, India, Romania, Ukraine, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica.

Upon returning to the U.S. in 2013, I moved back to my hometown, Boca Raton, FL and joined the staff at Victory Church as an administrative assistant. I served in many aspects of ministry during my 3.5 years at the church, and I am especially thankful for the ways I was able to stay connected with and connect others to missions – serving on the Missions Board, maintaining connections with the church’s local and global partners, bringing two girls with me on a mission trip to Peru with Ten Days Missions, and most recently, leading a team of seven to partner with Living Water International in Guatemala last August.

But toward the end of 2016, I began to feel the Lord leading me to step out in faith into some new unknowns. I made a difficult decision to step down from my role at Victory and leave my hometown in order to pursue some of God-given dreams – specifically those related to missions. In February 2017, when my lease ended, I moved back my college town, Gainesville, FL, where I lived with a close friend, attended Greenhouse Church, and worked at the local Chick-Fil-A. My short time in Gainesville, FL was exactly what the Lord showed me it would be – humbling, restful, a chance to save money and work on self-discipline, and an opportunity to reset as I prepared and waited for what was next.

Now God has shown me what is next – the Center for Global Action!
