Halfway There, Livin’ on a Prayer

It wasn’t my original plan to make all my blog titles song lyrics. But so far, they just seem to fit. So until further notice.. it’s happening.

Today, June 19, marks one full month in Gainesville, GA at CGA. Whoa!

And while there’s still several months to go, I am just over halfway funded! Hence..halfway there

Just want to extend a giant, public THANK YOU to those who have already come alongside of me (a.k.a Team Raychel). I have been blown away by the wild generosity and timely giving of my partners. Together, we met my fundraising deadline and then some! Now, there’s only $2,081 to go!

ALSO..I want to publicly share some prayer requests. Hence..livin’ on a prayer.

PLEASE PRAY FOR:

1. My Health – I’ve been sick with cold-type symptoms for more than a week now, and it has recently gotten worse instead of better. It has been a major set-back both physically and financially (had to buy medicine). I have a week full of CGA classes that I do not want to miss and much-needed hours of work, as well as plans to travel for a good friends’ wedding this weekend. Please pray for a quick and complete recovery!
2. Launching World Racers – The past week of CGA was spent serving at World Race training camp! It was an honor to be part of setting the atmosphere for God to move in the hearts of 200ish young adults as they prepared to go proclaim Jesus among the nations. Please keep these 5 squads in your prayers as they get ready to go in August! Pray that God will complete the good work that He has started! He is faithful!
3. Returning World Racers – Please pray for L Squad and specifically one of my best friends, Hannah, as she returns from her 11 months in South America this weekend. I had the privilege of meeting most of L squad at their training camp last year and following their journeys via social media all year. They are a special bunch. Pray for this last week to be a sweet time of remembrance and closure as they finish this season. Pray for them as they begin the tough, sometimes confusing season, of re-entry and transition into what’s next. (You can include the other squads who are returning home on this prayer as well.)
4. Provision – As mentioned, I still have $2,081 to raise to cover my program costs + housing for CGA. I am specifically believing for this money to come through by my birthday (July 11). I am praying for the right people to generously partner with me in what God is doing in and through me. I am praying for a support team to be built as I prepare to pursue leading mission trips after I finish CGA. Please join me in praying for God’s provision both in my fundraising as well as my personal finances.

Thanks so much for coming alongside of me in these ways!

(Take my hand. We’ll make it, I swear.)
